I went to Patrick Henry for 6-8th grade. I did 5th grade and earler in San Mateo. I remember the excitement when they were building Peterson and how we got to choose the mascot and colors. I also remember when we finally got covered walkways.

Gregory Nguyen said… - Linda, I live in San Francisco, but have resided in LA most of my adult life, specifically in the south bay. I travel between LA and SF, and try to stop in Santa Barbara as much as I can. In fact, I just got back from a UCSB reunion this weekend--it was great seeing some of my old college friends. I actually only went to Peterson for a year, and made a few friends on the basketball and track and field teams, and some from my math and physics classes. I had a good time that senior year, and truancy was an issue with me. :-) Anyway, hope you guys have fun on here.

Linda Hugle said… - My brother David and I went and had a great time. We saw plenty of people we remembered and of course no one is the same as high school. Still, it's interesting to hear how folks are doing and how divergent our lives have become. I didn't actually graduate from Peterson but that's where my friends were so I don't attend reunions of the high school I graduated from (Palo Alto).

- Maybe...... Did you go to the first one ? I didn't and I am not sure why. I am not the same person I was in 1968 (who is !) but I could only relate to people in that 68 context. I am not sure I could. Anyway, do you hear from anybody else like Lynn, Beth, etc ?

- HEY, We live on small farm near Louisville, Ky where my wife Barbara, daughter Katie and I raise Arabian horses. Keep busy with horses farm work and do little traveling. I am retired from the army and the Pacifica PD so I don't have to work. How did you end up in Oregon ? Look forward to hearing from you

- Yes, we love it here. Moved in 1974 and never regretted it for a minute. We still have family in the Bay Area (including our son -- how did that happen?) though and are there several times a year. But living here in the womb of the forest suits us just fine! Are you in the Bay Area, Gregory?

- Linda, that is beautiful country where you reside. I used to travel to Eugene and Portland every week for business, and would take side trips to the coast, the Klamath Falls, and Bend, but never made it to Mt. Hood or Crater Lake. When I have time, those are my next Oregon destinations.

- Of all the silly things, I'm a high school principal. Married since 1971, two kids, four grandkids. Living in a house we built in the woods. Interested in knowing who else lives in Southern Oregon.

- What are you favorite memories of Peterson High School?
- Probably the night we hung the signs saying VP Buchser had tragically died and that school would be closed out of respect. Hard to believe I did such a thing and then became an administrator. Must have been karma.

- What would you like to see as a result of this Pirates site?
- I would love to see a page with the states/regions listed and names of alumni living in various places. To the best of my knowledge, no one I went to school with lives nearby. True or not true?
- What suggestions do you have in order to make your experience here better?
- I'm hoping you get most alumni to sign up! Thanks for setting this up.
